Best Buy on eBay will gladly refund payment for any New, Clearance, Open-Box, Refurbished and Pre-Owned product returned within these stated terms.

The following applies to all returned items:

How Do I Return An Item?
The original receipt or packing slip (if you received one) is required for all returns. Items purchased from Best Buy on eBay are eligible for returns by bringing the product into a Best Buy store located within the United States or by mail.
Return Period
You can return almost everything within 15 days of date of delivery for a refund. Simply bring your item(s) to us with all contents and packaging, proof of purchase, and we will process your return.
Do Cell Phones, cellular tablets and cellular wearables have a different return window?
Yes. You can return these devices within 14 days for a full refund.
Do Cell Phones (excluding prepaid phones), cellular tablets and cellular wearables have a restocking fee?
Yes, there is a $45 restocking fee on cell phones (excluding prepaid phones), cellular tablets and cellular wearables.
Do any other items sold by Best Buy have a restocking fee?
Yes. Drones, DSLR Cameras and Lenses, Mirrorless Cameras and Lenses, leg & body recovery systems, Premium Camcorders, Projectors, Projector Screens and Special Order Products have a restocking fee of 15% of item purchase price. There is no restocking fee if the product is unopened or if the purchase and the return both occur within: AL, CO, HI, IA, MS, OH, OK, SC and where prohibited by law. The restocking fee will be taxed in select states.
What do I need to do when I return a Connected or Wi-Fi Device?
Please make sure that all data has been removed and the device is no longer linked to any cloud account or to any other device so that we may accept the return of this product. If you decide to return a phone or device with a plan, you are responsible for canceling your service contract with the carrier, and for all carrier charges.
What do I need to know about issues with Major Appliances?
Once delivery is accepted by a customer, if defects and/or damage is identified please contact Best Buy within 48 hours of the delivery day. Contact Best Buy by calling 1-888-Best-Buy (1-888-237-8289).
Are there limits for Entertainment Products?
Yes. Opened computer software, movies, music, video games, books, video game guides and sheet music can only be exchanged for an identical item.
Are there limits on the return of Apparel?
Yes. We are happy to accept returned apparel that has not been used, worn, laundered and has its original tags attached.
Are there limits on the return of Microsoft Office cards?
Yes. Cards that have not had their key code scratched off are returnable for 30 days.
Are there any items that are not returnable?
Yes. All Final Sale merchandise cannot be returned. Other nonreturnable purchases include custom orders, personalized orders, digital content, prepaid cards (including third-party gift cards), gift packaging, memberships, completed services, plumbing items, opened consumable items including batteries, cleaning agents, oil, fuel, ink and 3D printer filament, and items returned that are damaged, unsanitary, missing major contents or not in a like-new condition.
What if I'm returning an item that included a free gift or my item was part of a bundle or package?
If you return an item bought as part of a bundle or with a promotional discount and you do not return everything, not to worry. We will reimburse you for what you do return, minus the value of the discount or freebie.
How can I return my mobile phone with a plan?

If you decide to return a phone or device with a plan, you are responsible for canceling your service contract with the carrier, and for all carrier charges.

There are two ways to return your phone or device and cancel your service:

  • Return your device to a Best Buy store. Be sure to tell the store associate that you want to cancel your service. Carrier service cancellation policies may vary.
  • Call Best Buy Mobile at 1-877-702-2211 (6 a.m. to midnight, CT) for instructions on how to return the device by mail. Let the phone associate know that you want to cancel your service.

What should I do if my order arrives damaged, or if the wrong item was shipped?
If you receive a product that is defective or that is not the product you ordered, please return it to a Best Buy store and we'll arrange for a replacement. If you would rather return the item by mail, please call us for special instructions at 1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289). We will cover all reasonable and customary ground shipping fees.

Returns in Store

To return your item to a local Best Buy Store, follow these instructions:

  • Include all original packing materials, manuals and accessories. (If you don't have all the original packaging and accessories, that's okay, too. We can process a return with a small deduction on your refund for what's missing.)
  • Bring your receipt or packing slip (if you received one).

When Returns May Be Denied
* Please note that in certain instances returns processed in a Best Buy store may not reflect the total sales tax collected on your original purchase transaction. In these cases, eBay will refund any additional taxes paid to your original form of tender within 72 hours.
* Reimbursements on returns lacking proof of purchase may be denied or limited and state sales tax and fees will not be reimbursed.

Returns by Mail

To return the item via mail, follow these instructions:

  • Pack your return in the original shipping package, if possible.
  • Include your receipt or packing slip (if you received one) and return label, and indicate the reason for the return.
  • Include all original packing materials, manuals and accessories. (If you don't have all the original packaging and accessories, that's okay, too. We can process a return with a small deduction on your refund for what's missing.)

For proof of delivery, we highly recommend that you return items via UPS or insured USPS.
