    IMPORTANT!  In the event of problem (breakage, shortage, etc.) notify MRPO immediately.  DO NOT RETURN any merchandise until authorization has been received.  ALL CLAIMS (breakage, Missing Parts, Defective Merchandise, Requests for Exchange or Refund, etc.)  MUST BE MADE WITHIN TWO WEEKS OF RECEIPT OF ORDER.  NO EXCEPTIONS. (SEE DETAILS BELOW)
    DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE - RETURNS:  ALL RETURNS MUST BE AUTHORIZED - either verbally or in writing.  Merchandise must be in the original manufacturer's box.  All returns MUST BE SHIPPED POSTPAID AND accompanied by a packing list indicating the items returned and the reason for the return - show invoice number!  Returned merchandize must be packed securely.  We cannot accept responsibility for merchandise damaged in transit to us.  We cannot issue credit/refund for defective items when a replacement can be made.  ALL RETURNS MUST INCLUDE the appropriate RESHIPPING FEES.  NO EXCEPTIONS!  If the items are sold out or discontinued, the cost of the initial shipment will be deducted from any refund due.  Packages WITHOUT PROPER AUTHORIZATION WILL BE REFUSED.  Merchandize not returned to us in accordance with out returns policy will be accepted as SALVAGE VALUE or RETURNED TO THE CUSTOMER.
    DAMAGED MERCHANDISE:  If you receive a damaged package, SAVE all cartons, packing materials, broken parts and notify MRPO and the delivering carrier at once.  Accurately describe the condition of the carton as delivered as well as the extent of the damage to the contents.  We will advise the procedures to be followed to pursue a claim.  DO NOT RETURN anything unless specifically requested to do so by MRPO or UPS.  Returning the items without authorization may prohibit MRPO from filing a claim with the carrier, in which case MRPO reserves the right to deny responsibility for the replacement of such merchandise.  Notification of damaged merchandise MUST be made within TWO WEEKS of receipt.  
    MISSING PARTS:  Parts missing from a kit, i.e. floor, trucks, etc. are best handled directly with the manufacturer - Athearn, Bev Bel, etc.  In many cases they will provide the missing part free of charge.  If you wish MRPO to handle the problem, the entire kit must be returned in most cases to obtain proper credit.  Payment of RESHIPPING CHARGES MUST be made for the return of the complete kit.  Authorization MUST be obtained from MRPO before returning any kit/parts.
    OTHER MISCELLANEOUS RETURNS:  Any item (except special orders) may be returned within two weeks of receipt with proper authorization.  Merchandise and packaging must be in original factory condition.  A 5% restocking fee, credit card fee if applicable and actual freight charges will be deducted from the refund unless unless credit used towards a new order.
    MRPO ERRORS:  All packages contain an itemized invoice.  If an item appears on the invoice, it may be expected to be contained in the shipment.  If an item ordered is NOT ON THE INVOICE, we could not ship it due to it being out of stock, not released, etc.  Either a refund, reduced charge or partial shipment should be indicated.  If there is an error in billing, your invoice will be re-examined and proper action will be taken to reflect any adjustment.  Notify MRPO immediately in the event of an error, verbally or in writing.
