Harry Northwood entered the "Carnival" market with iridescent glassware called "Golden Iris" (Marigold), in the Spring of 1908. He continued to introduce new colors and patterns, and the famous (N) trademark until 1917 or so when iridescent ware disappeared from catalogs. Production after 1917 was likely promoted directly from factory to retailers, cutting out the catalog middlemen. Northwood also produced non-iridized Crystal and Colored / Decorated glass, Custard and Stretch glass. |
